Recital
June 11, 2005
by Miss Cathy
My students decided that they love having small recitals at my home, so we had two small recitals instead of one big one. Everyone did a wonderful job, even remembering to bow to the audience.
The first recital started off with Miss Cathy playing a song from her CD "Still".
Next Cory played 4 songs on the piano. He is in the gifted program at school.
Hannah is a veteran when it comes to performing. She sang two songs that were a bit more playful then most of the songs she has performed in the past. Hannah is also in the honors program at high school.
Melanie and her family moved back to the area after living in a different state for several years. This is Melanie's 'welcome back' recital. She played two songs on the piano for us.
Renusha has been taking guitar lessons since January. She played 3 songs on the guitar for this recital, and 3 songs on the piano. Renusha has travelled throughout most of the United States.
Lauren loves animals and has started a club to save the animals. She played 3 songs on the piano for us.
The second recital started off with Max and Zachary who are twins. This was their first piano recital. They just had their fourth birthday. They each played two songs.
Tori is getting taller and taller. She likes basketball. Tori played 4 songs for us.
Stephanie played the piano for several years, tried a few guitar lessons, and has found that drums are where she really loves to be. Miss Cathy and Stephanie played piano and drums together for two songs.
Sara competed at StarQuest International and received a high gold medal. Today, she sang her gold medal winning song for us. Sara also sang one of her favorite songs for us.
We usually hear Julia playing classical music. However, for this recital, she decided to play more contemporary songs.
