The Classy Keys Trio

Their Entourage

The Ocean View Nursing and Retirement Home

By Miss Cathy
We were greeted by smiles and enthusiasm as we entered the Ocean View Nursing and Retirement Home. What a wonderful audience! We had so much fun performing here.
Peyton opened the show by sneaking up to the keyboard and playing his 'Trumpet Song', and when he started to play 'The William Tell Overture' I walked over to him and took the keyboard away from him. Guess what? He took back the keyboard, and then I took it back, all while we were playing the song. Then, when I started to play King William's March and Jenny was accompanying me on the bodhran, Peyton took the drum away from Jenny and they had a little tug of war with the drum, but the beat never stopped. *smiles*
We met Pearl. She is 110 years old. Pearl asked to have her picture taken with the youngest person in the room. That was Peyton, who is 6 years old.
I don't know their names, but three ladies sat right in the front. They kept the rhythm going for us. One tapped her foot, one clapped, and one directed. It was great to have the help, and to know the audience was right there with us.
The audience laughed and smiled and even sang with us during the performance. I can't say enough about what a wonderful experience this was. It has set the scene for many performances both in the USA and England. Thank you to our audience at The Ocean View Nursing and Retirement Home.
